What are the best timber screws?

On April 5, 2021 by Dez

Timberlok screws are a modern alternative to traditional coach screws and can be used in a variety of timber applications. One of the most popular uses for Timberlok screws is fixing timber sleepers together, for example, and they do this very effectively! Of course, there are many different types available.

Ever had to buy timber screws for a project and not know which ones are best? We’re here to help! Timber screws are made of wood, metal, or plastic. The type you choose depends on the material your project is made from. Metal screws will work with most materials but be careful if it’s something like stone. Plastic is only good for things that aren’t too heavy because they can break when there’s any pressure put on them. Wood can be used in any kind of project and has a lot of different types so make sure you know which one you need before buying! Bottom Line: Not all timber screw brands are created equal; some may have better quality than others depending on what the product was designed for. Make sure you do your homework — always!

We get it, a lot of people are looking for the best timber screws. It’s important to know what type of wood you’re using and what your project requires before making a decision on which screw is right for you. When working with treated wood, it’s probably going to be best to choose either high-grade 304, 305, or 316 stainless steel screws or specially coated wood screws that are designed to work with treated lumber. The length of a screw will be dependant on the gauge, and both will determine the size of screw. Timber screws will often measure between half an inch and 3 inches in length. As mentioned, Timberlok screws are very good, and they’re a great way to ensure your wood is secure. These screws have an innovative triangular head that slides easily in hardwood and drywall alike. They also come with pre-drilled holes so you don’t need any special tools or equipment to use them.  I highly recommend these for anyone who needs a screw that will stay in place permanently, but can be unscrewed if necessary. We love Timberlok screws. They are so easy to use and they work really well for all of our projects. I’m not sure what it is about them but they just seem better than other brands of screws.
